EXCURSION TIP: TO THE WACKELSTEIN! Hiking in the romantic Regental valley. Above Heilinghausen, behind Regenstauf, there is a picturesque little hike that we really like. EXCURSION TO THE OTTERBACH VALLEY! Do you know the Otterbachtal? We were there again last weekend. This picturesque area near Altenthann is about 20 km east of Regensburg. The Otterbachtal is often compared to the better-known Höllbachtal, also known as the “little hell”. SNOWSHOEING! Mother Hulda has provided us with snow! High time for some winter fun. How about a snowshoe hike? The weather would be perfect for it right now. Last year we did a taster tour on the Dreisessel. The journey from Regensburg takes about 1.5 hours.
