SUNNY SPOTS IN REGENSBURG!

Whether it’s spring or fall, as soon as it’s a little warmer, everyone heads out into the fresh air. We’ll tell you where you can get a good dose of sunshine and collect lots of vitamin D:

The 10 best places to get plenty of sun!

BISMARCKPLATZ: A hotspot, the living room of Regensburg so to speak – you immediately feel at home here. Whether you want to relax with an ice cream by the fountain or enjoy a cappuccino in the Neue Filmbühne – Bismarckplatz is super popular in warm temperatures. Our tip: in the afternoon, you can let the sun shine on your face for a particularly long time in the Centro bar in Drei-Mohren-Straße. HAIDPLATZ: Knights’ tournaments used to take place here, but today there are many bars and restaurants on this beautiful square. Here you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine at the beginning of the year. NEUPFARRPLATZ: You can relax in the sun by the Neupfarrkirche church or take a seat on the stones by artist Dani Karavan. The walk-in memorial recreates the floor plan of the old synagogue. DONAU: The sun can also be enjoyed wonderfully here. For example, on the grass of Jahninsel, on the riverside promenade between Steinerner Brücke and Eiserner Steg or on a walk along Marc-Aurel-Ufer. STADTAMHOF: This is where the sun shines longest in the darker months of spring and fall. KOHLENMARKT : You can soak up the sun from February until late fall at Dean&David’s outdoor seating area. ALTER KORNMARKT : At lunchtime at the beginning of the year, you can already see people sitting here in T-shirts. In the Rinaldi, Orlando die Lasso and La Chapelle cafés, the sunny spots are in high demand! SCHWANENPLATZ & ST-GEORGEN-PLATZ. Two places that we Regensburgers don’t have on our radar yet, as they have been less busy so far. The new Museum of Bavarian History will change that. Benches on which you can sunbathe are ready and waiting. The steps of the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte are also sunlit. GRIESER SPITZ: Close to the Stone Bridge in Stadtamhof, you can take a wonderful stroll here where the rain flows into the Danube and enjoy the first rays of sunshine. STADTPARK: Your sun date by the lake in Regensburg’s oldest and largest park.
