There is sports equipment and a range of facilities from basketball and soccer courts, table tennis tables to dance and gymnastics or fitness and martial arts areas. The hall is open to all age groups free of charge and without prior registration Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Dieselstraße 7, 93053 Regensburg. Many sports on a total area of almost 1,500m². Hall 37 is characterized by many intercultural encounters and the fun of moving together. 5) Matinees and public rehearsals at Theater Regensburg. A good opportunity to enjoy theater and see if you like the play. At the matinees you get to know the directing team, learn something about the production and hear excerpts from the text or musical examples.

6) Midday music. The lunchtime music in Regensburg’s Niedermünster cathedral parish church invites you to a free half-hour concert every Saturday at 5:12. 7) Botanical garden. In addition to the Regensburg parks, there is also a botanical garden with greenhouses at the University of Regensburg, which can be visited free of charge. 8) Galleries. Regensburg has plenty of galleries where you can enjoy art and discover new artists. There is always a gallery evening in the fall, this year on 24.09.2022. 9) The Degginger is a project for the cultural and creative industries in Regensburg. There are always free lectures or the smallest gallery in Regensburg. 10) Children’s and youth farm in Regensburg. Open on Saturday afternoons for families and Wednesday afternoons for children aged 7 and over. A wonderful place in the north of the city (Taunusstraße 5).

The Regensburg City Library has six locations: in the Thon-Dittmer-Palais on Haidplatz, in the Candis district, in Burgweinting, in the north of the city in the ALEX-Center, the East district library in the Kerschensteiner vocational school (Alfons-Auer-Straße) and the South library in the KÖWE-Center. Everywhere you can browse for free on site, even without a library card. The digital taster card is also free of charge. 12) Book phone booth in Stadtamhof near the Andreasstadel. The principle: anyone can borrow or take a book and preferably leave a book they have read in return so that there is always a supply. A kind of barter trade. Please note: It is said that it is better to give than to receive. So feel free to leave two books if you have some to spare. The women and men from “KulTür” are responsible for this wonderful project. KulTür is an organization that brings poor people closer to the often expensive cultural life and also provides them with free tickets for events, for example.
