Christian Brückner: HINAB IN DEN MAELSTRÖM 27.09.2024 at the Theater am Bismarckplatz
A listening experience: a narrative concert with Christian Brückner and the Martin Auer Quintet. The Voice Christian Brückner and jazz trumpeter Martin Auer haven’t just known each other since their fruitful collaboration with the wild jazz orchestra (The Jungle Book, 2021, and The Ballad of Robin Hood, 2022), they have a passion that has connected them for a long time: jazz.

Wladimir Kaminer reading “MAHLZEIT! STORIES FROM EUROPE’S TABLES” on 04.10.2024 at 20.00 at the Alte Mälzerei cultural center
Few people are as curious about their neighbors as WLADIMIR KAMINER. Whether it’s about individual people or entire countries. On his travels through Europe, WLADIMIR KAMINER nibbles from the plates of Portugal as well as from the honey pots of Bulgaria, he drinks the wine of Moldova and dips his spoon into the pots of Serbia. Above all, however, he talks to the people and delves deep into their history and stories. His forays reveal a Europe that is as diverse, colorful and surprising as its food.

Bonnie “Prince” Billy plus Ned Colette on 12.10.2024 at 20.00 in the Audimax
BONNIE “PRINCE” BILLY is one of the most important and fascinating singer/songwriters of our time. His concerts are legendary. His latest album “Keeping Secrets Will Destroy You” was acclaimed by critics and celebrated by fans. Haunting folk. Incomparable songs about the big themes in life. “Songs for eternity” (according to Maik Brüggemeyer in “Rolling Stone”). Now, after many years, this great artist is coming back to Germany. One of his few concerts can be experienced in Regensburg.

Especially in times of uncertainty and upheaval, the theater is therefore a place of debate, a place where signs are set and open discourse is offered in order to reflect together again and again on the values of a democratic society. High-profile discussion partners have been recruited for the edition on October 13, 2024 under the title FUTURE DIALOGUE: DEMOCRACY. Michel Friedman and Anja Reschke will debate on stage at the Theater am Bismarckplatz, with Sonia Mikich as moderator.

Jan Weiler reading “Munk” Ostentorkino 31.10.2024 at 20.00

In the rehabilitation clinic, his therapist tells him to start his self-exploration with the people who have made him the man he is. And so, for the first time, he looks at the thirteen women in his life and the lessons he has learned from each of them. With a surprising outcome.

Enlightment 09.11.2024-11.01.2025 in the Minorite Church
From the creators of Genesis comes Enlightment – a fascinating journey through the seasons. The Enlightment illumination is an abstract homage to the cycle of life. The new show by Zurich-based artist collective Projektil will run in the Minoritenkirche from November 9 – another German premiere.

The immersive light show paints the entire interior of the church with light and color and also artfully stages the architectural features of the 13th century Gothic church time and again, for example when window arches or the organ are traced with millimeter precision.
