Game tips 2023
FAVORITE GAMES!
Like every year, there’s a game under the Christmas tree and we always like to give board or card games as gifts. The holidays are the perfect time for an afternoon of gaming with family or friends. So, as in previous years, we’ve rummaged through our game collection and picked out a few tips for you. Once again, you’ll find games for friends, for two players or for the whole family. Some games can also be played alone.
Here are our game tips for Christmas:
1) Village romance
The “Game of the Year 2023” can be played alone or together. The aim of the game is to lay out a large landscape and fulfill as many of the villagers’ wishes as possible. It is a building strategy and puzzle game in which the players create a beautiful landscape by placing hexagonal tiles together and collect points by completing tasks in order to win the game at the end.
2) Cascadia
Cascadia was named Game of the Year in 2022. It is a tactical placement game with simple rules. In each round, you collect tiles and use them to expand your own tableau, or Cascadia. You help the wild animals to feel comfortable in their home and expand their habitat. The aim of the game is to build a functioning ecosystem.
For 1 to 4 people aged 10 and over. The game lasts 45 minutes.
3) Micro Macro Crime City 2: Full House
As in the previous game, in Full House you have to track down various criminals on a large city map (75 x 110 cm) that looks like a giant hidden object picture. For each case, you are given cards with questions to solve the puzzle. You then search the city map for the locations and crime scenes that provide the facts to solve the criminal cases. Different levels of difficulty guide you step by step through the game. Each criminal case is unique and hides amazing information! From 10 years, 1 to 4 players.
4) Nobody is perfect
In this communication game, the players come up with made-up but believable-sounding answers to various questions. J Each player invents an explanation for the foreign word or event on the guessing card. All invented explanations are read out together with the correct answer. The aim is to use the invented answers to fool as many other players as possible and guess the correct answer yourself.
As a rule, nobody knows the right answer, so you have to come up with crazy stories to fool the other players. The more original the answer, the better to lure the other players onto the wrong track. A very funny game!
Creative guessing fun for 3 to 10 players aged 14 and over. Playing time approx. 60 minutes.
5) The Crew 2: Mission Deep Sea
In this cooperative and tricky card game, you work together with the other players to search for the lost continent of Mu. The adventure takes the crew deep into the abyss in search of the legendary sunken land. Everything depends on good teamwork. Map by map, the crew makes its way to Mu. Communication as a team is essential.
From 10 years, 2 to 5 players.
There is also the crew: travel together to the 9th planet
6) Wizard
Wizard is a classic trick-taking game. The aim of the game is to score the most points. Each player must predict the number of tricks they will receive during the game. Everyone is dealt one card in the first round, two cards in the second round, and so on. The color played first must be played. If you cannot play, you must discard or trump. There are also eight special cards in the game: four magicians and four fools. A jester never wins a trick, but the magician always does. Whoever fulfills their prediction receives plus points, otherwise minus points.
