FREE AND OUTSIDE IN REGENSBURG!
Is there anything better than partying, listening to music or doing sport in the open air with free admission? We took a look at what Regensburg has to offer this year in terms of free music and sports programs.

Festivals:
05.06.2024 Campus festival at the university
With various bands on the Indie Stage, the culture stage with karaoke, poetry slam and square dancing to join in and much more.
Free admission. 21-23.06.2024 Gassenfest an der Donau
The former Ostengassenfest will take place in rotation – in 2024, a year without a citizens’ festival – at three venues:
Donauterrassen (organized by Daniel Frost from the Friday organic market together with Ghost-Town-Radio!),
Donaulände (social initiatives, Reinhard Kellner) and
AAG-Sportplatz am Ostentor (AktionKulturSozial, Sabine Watzlawik). There will be a very special children’s cultural program here this year.
05-07.07.2024 Jazzweekend
Numerous ensembles entertain the audience free of charge on a dozen stages in Regensburg’s old town.
02.08.2024 REWAG Classic Night in the City Park
Pure cultural enjoyment in the open air and with free admission. It starts on Friday with the REWAG Classic Night in the City Park.
Directly followed by: 03.08.2024 REWAG Night in Blue in the City Park
Two days of strolling, dancing, partying, picnicking and having fun including a great program with great artists.
04.08.2024 Children’s citizens’ festival in the city park
Play, laugh, dance, do handicrafts – a day for children with fun, excitement and movement! The KIBÜ has been held in Regensburg since 1996. 06-08.09.2024 Kulturpflaster
On the last weekend of the summer holidays, the Regensburg association Mischkultur e.V. once again organizes the street circus festival “Kulturpflaster”, with many street artists and an exciting programme.
20-22.09.2024 Stadtamhof Wine Festival
The legendary wine festival returns to Stadtamhof this year.
Sport:
A great offer from the city of Regensburg is the free sports program “Sport in the Park”, which runs until mid-October.
From Monday to Friday, there are various offers throughout the city. All courses are free and can be attended without prior registration.
