10 fall tips

IT’S FALL OUT THERE…

The long summer is finally over and fall is here! The sunset is particularly bright at the moment and the first deciduous trees are slowly turning their leaves. To make sure it’s a golden fall for you, we have the 10 best tips for fall just in time for the start of fall.

Flying kites on the Tremmelhauser Höhe. “Entertain the child in you” was Joseph Beuys’ motto. Flying a kite is perfect for this! So is the wind at the moment.

Take a VHS course. When was the last time you learned something completely new? The VHS-Regensburg and VHS-Regensburg-Land offer an extensive program, from A for beginners’ sheepshead course to Z for contemporary dance. Exciting lectures and courses take place almost every day. How about a new language? Have you always wanted to try wood sculpting or take a sewing course? Then simply sign up – fall is the best time to do so!

Hiking. Autumn is the best time of year for this. Take a trip to the nearby and beautiful Höllbach Valley. You can find more excursions here: Excursions on RegensburgNow

Sauna. Only recently it was still 25 degrees, now it’s fall. A sauna is the perfect way to recharge your batteries and do something good for yourself! You can take a sauna in Regensburg in the Westbad or outside in Bad Abbach in the Kaisertherme or in the Bulmare in Burglengenfeld. Alternatively, the Hotel Götzfried in Regensburg also offers a sauna – external guests can use the day spa facilities. New in Regensburg is the Vital Spa Seidenplantage with hammam, pool, whirlpool, outdoor terrace, Finnish sauna and steam sauna.

Bowling. Make a date with a few friends and go bowling. It’s so retro that it’s almost cult again. After bowling, the movie “The Big Lebowsky” is perfect! You can bowl at Superbowl in Gewerbepark D 44, for example.

Brunch. In the comfort of your own home with friends or in one of Regensburg’s many cafés.

Art. You can either view them at the Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie or the Leerer Beutel, for example, or make them yourself. Or how about a gallery walk? Speaking of walks. When was the last time you took a walk through one of Regensburg’s parks? Here’s our suggestion: start in the Villapark via Ostenallee and Fürst-Anselm-Allee to Dörnbergpark and via the Stadtpark to Herzogspark. You can also collect chestnuts or colorful leaves and sometimes you can even find a quince tree. And with a few matches and chestnuts, you can quickly make a chestnut man…see point 7 Making art yourself 😉

Stay at home, snuggle up and cook something delicious. You can find lots of great recipes on the Regensburg food blog www.endlichgeniessen.de.

Doing indoor sports. Also important after brunching, cooking and snuggling up at home – only ‘couch potato’ is unhealthy. At Megasports-Regensburg in Obertraubling, you can play indoor tennis, squash or badminton and even go climbing.
